The young visitors were particularly enthusiastic about the “cone animals” – small forest creatures made from natural materials that Michaela Vogl had prepared as handicraft examples for the children to make together after her book reading. The children were able to get creative themselves and make the forest creatures as small Christmas presents for parents or grandparents. These showed impressively how, with a little imagination, lively characters can be created from simple treasures of the forest.
Many thanks to the Sterzinger bookshop for their hospitality and to all the guests, young and old, who made this afternoon such a special experience. It was wonderful to see how Molly’s story and the handmade winter figures warmed the hearts of the audience.
