With great attention to detail, Michaela Vogl has created an extraordinary nativity scene this Advent – and it now graces the display window of the charming Graz bookstore Büchersegler. A delicate string of lights, a shimmering candle, and her characteristic hand-felted figures – little mice, a gentle donkey, and the Christ Child – lend a warmly glowing, poetic atmosphere to the scene.
The nativity scene is part of the Graz Nativity Trail, where selected shops present artistic nativity displays during Advent. For Michaela Vogl, it was a special joy to create her work for Büchersegler – a bookstore with a lot of heart and its own unique magic. Owner Bea Baumann was already awarded the Austrian Bookselling Prize in 2019.
Anyone visiting Graz can now discover the lovingly designed nativity scene in the display window of Büchersegler – a glowing winter greeting and a little piece of Christmas magic in the heart of the city.
